Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of a well-established timber merchant based in Tilbury. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone with a strong background in warehouse or yard supervision who enjoys leading from the front and maintaining high standards across all areas of operation. Key responsibilities: Oversee all day-to-day warehouse and yard operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency Lead and support a small team, including task allocation, training, and performance monitoring Manage the full goods in/goods out process, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of materials Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and full inventory checks Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, promoting a safe working environment and reporting any hazards Liaise with transport and office teams to coordinate deliveries, collections, and job scheduling Monitor team productivity and warehouse KPIs, reporting against targets and identifying areas for improvement Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with company and industry standards Provide regular updates to senior management, including reporting on stock levels, team performance, and operational issues Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall warehouse performance Requirements: Proven experience in a warehouse or yard supervisory role A hands-on and proactive approach to team leadership Experience working with timber, building materials or similar would be an advantage Strong organisational and communication skills Comfortable using basic IT systems for reporting and stock management Valid Counterbalance FLT licence is essential This is a great opportunity to join a long-standing business in a full-time, permanent role where your leadership and operational input will be valued.
