We invest in training and development and offer opportunities for progression within a fast-growing company.The roleWarehouse Section Manager is responsible for supporting the Warehouse Manager in the management of all warehouse activities in a given area. You will assign and organise staff, manage performance and productivity to ensure full contract coverage and excellent customer service at all times, including:Managing manpower levels and other resources in line with agreed parametersCoordinating operational activities to ensure the required service level is providedConducting regular briefings and ensure effective communications with the Operational TeamCommunicating issues and information to the Warehouse Manager such as delivery schedules, warehouse accuracy and general queriesConducting one to one meetings with team members to review performance and developmentRecognising training needs and providing solutions to ensure team members have the required knowledge for their roleActively supporting operational change whilst minimising disruption to production and serviceSupporting the Warehouse Manager as and when requiredThis role will be predominantly working a 6am - 2pm shift.What we are looking forPrevious experience in a managerial role in a warehouse operationAbility to coordinate daily activities and delegate within a team whilst remaining operationally hands-onA methodical approach and the ability to prioritise workload and tasksAbility to react within a complex and growing operational environmentExperience of handling disciplinary and sickness absence casesUnderstanding of 3EX.Net warehouse management system and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)BenefitsDiscretionary company bonus schemePension, Life Assurance, Healthshield Cash Plan and Discount Perks22 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) increasing to 25 days after 2 complete holiday years, with option to buy/sell holidayFree on-site parking, with electric car charging at certain locationsRange of employee awardsUniform and full PPE providedEmployee assistance programme to promote mental health wellbeingCycle to work schemeEnhanced maternity and paternity leaveJob Application RequirementsRight to Work in the UK & Basic DBS Check – You must have the legal right to work in the UK (we are not able to sponsor you).
