Warehouse Operative – Monday Start

Salary: £12.21 per hour
Location: Quedgeley, Gloucester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3.45 pm
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing, full-time

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse operation based in Quedgeley. This is a physical, hands on role with an immediate Monday start, initially on a temporary ongoing basis with the potential to go permanent for the right person.

Responsibilities

* Pick, pack, wrap and load and unload stock

* Lifting and moving heavy products

* Support with product assembly and light manufacturing tasks

* Assist delivery drivers with loading and unloading when required

* Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and safe at all times

* Check stock for quality and accuracy

* Use warehouse management systems and handheld terminals

* Maintain equipment and follow health and safety procedures

* Work in line with company procedures and site rules

* Provide flexibility to support operational requirements

Skills & Experience Required

* Warehouse experience

* Reliable and hardworking

* Experience using WMS and handheld picking devices is desirable

* Previous experience in goods in and goods out operation

* Comfortable with heavy lifting and physical work
