They produce a modular access platform system for the pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive, aviation, facilities management, and food industries to name a few.     Due to expansion, our client seeking a tenacious Warehouse Operative to help drive the business forward.     As a Warehouse Operative you will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products, whilst ensuring productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

    About the responsibilities:

    In the role of Warehouse Operative, your main duties will be to:

  • Maintain compliance with the company’s ISO 9001 policies & vision
  • Pick orders & dispatch & book orders, as necessary
  • Check picked orders before dispatch & manage bar codes
  • Current and up to date FLT & driver’s license
  • Ensure efficient space utilisation and adhere to all warehousing, handling & shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health & safety, hygiene & security
  • Stock control & reconciliation with the data storage system
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers & transport companies
  • Warehouse floor & racking areas to be free from rubbish & debris
  • Vans checked for correct tyre pressure & wear, engine oil coolant & water for the windscreen
  • Ensure security of warehouse, stock & all company property, no unauthorised visitors
  • Utilise the best equipment for the safe loading & unloading of goods, usually the forklift truck
  • About you

    To be successful for the role of Warehouse Operative, you must have / be:

  • Experience with Microsoft office – essential
  • Forklift Truck License (Valid) – essential
  • Strong work ethic / keen for career development

    For the role of Warehouse Operative there is a salary on offer of £20,000 to £22,000 per annum, plus benefits of:

  • Christmas period off – guaranteed
  • 20 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • No shift work (8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday)

  • Please note, this role is based in Derby so the successful applicant must live within a 35-minute commutable distance.
