Warehouse Operations Manager – Gloucester, Paying £45,000 per annum, Working early shift Monday to Friday. 

My client in Gloucester is looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join their team. This is a permanent role paying £45,000 per annum, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with an early start. You’ll take responsibility for leading the performance of the Warehouse and Cross Dock teams across all shifts.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in operational delivery, people development, and continuous improvement, while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage Warehouse & Cross Dock operations to achieve performance targets.
  • Build strong working relationships across management and operational teams.
  • Drive a positive, safety-first culture through active engagement with QSHE initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with processes, policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Manage budgets, cost controls, and service levels.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities to your team.
  • Deputise for the Senior Operations Manager when required.
    • To be Successful:
  • Proven experience in a warehouse management role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of WMS and stock control processes.
  • Confident IT user (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to plan, prioritise, and work to tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with great attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and financial management.
