Job Description
Reporting to: Head of Facilities and Logisitics
Location: 100% onsite Reading, RG6 1AZ.
Reports: up to 40, across day and night shift.
Hours of work: 44 hours per week, flexible over 2 shifts and ability to work occasional evenings/ weekends to meet production demands.

Manrose Manufacturing Ltd, part of Volution Ventilation UK, trades with all major UK electrical wholesalers. Manrose manufacture a full range of domestic extractor fans, ducting and Ventilation accessories. We also cover electric heating with panel heaters and hand driers in keeping with the heating and ventilation market.
Job role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations within a busy manufacturing setting. You'll ideally hold manufacturing experience and have supported our teams of 35-40 employees (days and nights).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory control, staff supervision, logistics coordination, and ensuring seamless material flow to support production efficiency.
Leadership skills are essential and people management experience will be vital in maintaining high standards of safety and productivity within our warehouse.
As a Warehouse Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to meet performance and safety standards.
- Develop and enforce health and safety protocols in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
- Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments to streamline logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, shipments, and warehouse activities.
- Lead the ongoing development of the 5S system (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) across all facilities and logistics operations.
- Develop KPIs and dashboards to track progress and drive accountability
Experience and Skills to be considered:
- 5-7 years of Warehouse Manager experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills: self-awareness, development, empathy, respect, vision, analytical, decisiveness, adaptability.
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
- Cost Control & Budgeting
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse software (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Forklift certification and knowledge of warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Good knowledge and experience of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing methods (5S).
- Have excellent communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills utilized in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
