Warehouse Manager – Pharmaceutical Industry Location: Swindon, United Kingdom Contract: 3-month contract (possibility of extension or permanent hire) Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join a fast-paced and highly regulated pharmaceutical environment in Swindon. This is a key role with responsibility for overseeing warehouse operations, managing warehouse teams, and maintaining compliance with GMP, GDP, and health and safety standards. You will lead the efficient running of warehouse processes, stock management systems, and ensure high standards of hygiene, documentation, and performance are upheld. Key Responsibilities
Lead safe and effective day-to-day warehouse operations Manage the Warehouse Stock Management System Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, COSHH, and H&S regulations Monitor and develop team performance and motivation Oversee warehouse KPIs and capacity planning Liaise with cross-functional departments including Quality, Production, and Engineering Maintain high hygiene and housekeeping standards Manage material storage and controlled destruction of expired or rejected goods Review and update SOPs within your area of responsibility Support departmental training via the Compliance Wire system Oversee documentation and process changes via QMS (TrackWise) and EDMS Support continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members
Key Requirements
Previous experience in a Warehouse Management role Strong understanding of GMP and pharmaceutical regulations Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Self-motivated, team-oriented, and proactive IT literate with experience using warehouse systems and QMS tools Knowledge of Lean Thinking and implementing lean projects Willingness to work at height (TSP truck) and travel if needed
