A rapidly expanding global manufacturing firm is seeking a highly organised and results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our operation in Morecambe. The salary for this role is £35,000.Job SummaryIn this role, you will lead a team of warehouse staff, implement best practices to optimise productivity, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Create and manage daily shipping lists; pick, count, and weigh products to fulfil customer orders.Maintain accurate inventory transactions in ERP systems related to shipping and packaging.Monitor incoming materials for overdue orders and take appropriate action.Backfill shipping or receiving positions as needed.Train and certify new associates in shipping, receiving, and material handling, including fork truck operation.Operate warehouse equipment as required.Ensure compliance with procedures and all warehouse-related quality standards.Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards in the warehouse.Liaise with the key internal teams and transport companies to ensure timely order fulfilment.Produce regular reports and statistics on warehouse performance.Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.Successful Candidate RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar warehouse management or distribution role, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.Essential RequirementsProven track record in a similar warehouse management or distribution role.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong problem-solving abilities.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Experience with computer systems and training others.Ability to visually inspect products and perform basic maths (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).Desirable RequirementsFork Lift Truck licence.Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems.Knowledge of ISO9000 or similar quality standards.Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
