Warehouse Manager Join to apply for the Warehouse Manager role at Heidelberg Materials UK Manage the stores operation to optimise spare parts availability, reduce warehouse inventory and working capital in line with Group Spare Parts Program. The effective use of SAP to integrate the purchasing function within stores to assist in the operational, maintenance, and planning functions. To develop a close and seamless liaison between purchasing, stores and end user requirements, whilst focusing on good stock management techniques to reduce the overall stock valuation, still maintaining the maximum level of availability and reliability. Responsibilities
Store Operations: Manage all aspects of the stores function in line with company procedures, HTC MIP handbook, and Group Spare Parts Program guidelines. SAP Integration: Drive effective use of SAP to integrate purchasing and inventory management, streamlining workflows and improving visibility. Inventory Management: Administer the MRP function daily, liaising with engineers, planners, and managers to ensure timely ordering and stock control. Procurement Support: Provide procurement for spare parts, materials, and services not covered by central procurement. Master Data Accuracy: Maintain accurate master data records and stock control levels in collaboration with plant management. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a forward diary system and spare parts strategy to reduce stock holding and support common stock keeping. Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers to implement consignment stock systems using SAP for cost control and visibility. Storage Optimisation: Apply best practices for storage, space utilisation, and satellite stores management. Maintenance Support: Assist with daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance planning, including pick list preparation. Team Leadership: Supervise stores personnel and oversee day-to-day operations. Compliance & Audits: Ensure stock checks and audits are completed in line with group policy. Continuous Improvement: Develop the SAP MM module and explore technologies to enhance efficiency in goods receipt, issue, return, and stock checks.
Qualifications
Proven experience in stores management, ideally in an industrial or engineering environment. Strong working knowledge of SAP (especially MM module). Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to lead and develop a team. A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
