Reporting into the Stores Supervisor, as the Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, updating the relevant systems, undertaking site safety inspections daily and working with the Store Supervisor to ensure the service level is excellent. This role is based in our Pirin Court Depot based close to Canning Town, E16 4TL and is to work shifts 4 on 4 off days and nights.
What you’ll do:
Maintain a computer stock database facility ensuring traceability of all parts
Provide a goods packaging and despatch service for all out-going parts to Repairers
Ensure the stores are regularly cleaned and kept free from obstruction
Carry out regular stock checks within Stores including stock reconciliation
Ensure any part discrepancies or issues are brought to the attention of Management
Adhere to quality management procedures
Organise and arrange couriers for special deliveries
Package items safely and securely and despatch to suppliers/repairers
Send parts off for calibration accept deliveries, checking quantities of items and other goods in responsibilities
Locate and pick requested items and prepare for shipping
Provide a goods packaging and despatch service for all out-going deliveries
Maintain control of the waste and recover any reusable equipment
Monitor and Control all Packaging materials
Maintain a record of Test and Calibration equipment
Who you are:
This role would be ideal for a diligent, hardworking and experienced store person.
Warehouse Operative Key Requirements:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
Be able to work as part of a team
Understanding of Health and Safety legislations
Knowledge of environment requirements for waste disposal requirements
