Logistics Coordinator (Shipping & Warehouse)

The Logistics Coordinator (Shipping & Warehouse) is responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities to ensure customer orders are dispatched accurately, compliantly, and on time. The role combines hands‑on warehouse duties with shipping administration, including domestic and international shipments, carrier coordination, and import/export documentation. The position plays a key role in ensuring cost‑effective logistics operations in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Logistics

Coordinate and organise all outbound and inbound shipments in line with company and customer requirements.
Ensure goods are shipped in a timely, compliant, and cost‑effective manner using approved carriers.
Manage bookings and shipments using UPS World Ease, FedEx, DHL and other courier software.
Prepare and process all import and export documentation to ensure compliance with EU and international customs regulations.
Provide freight quotations and shipment information to internal teams as required.
Post orders and shipping information daily using the SAP system.

Warehouse Operations

Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
Operate warehouse handling equipment, including forklift trucks and hand trucks, in line with safety regulations.
Support general warehouse duties as required to meet operational demands.
Ensure customer orders are accurate and complete prior to shipment.
Manage and monitor packing materials and oversee re‑ordering processes to maintain adequate stock levels.

Compliance & Process

Follow all health and safety procedures within the warehouse environment.
Support compliance with dangerous goods regulations (desirable)
Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to shipments and warehouse activity.
Communicate effectively with internal departments to resolve shipping or order issues.

Skills & Competencies

Essential

Experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a changing workload.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team.
Good communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
Computer literate with experience using shipping systems and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Desirable

Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs documentation.
Understanding of dangerous goods regulations (e.g. lithium batteries, liquids).
Forklift licence (or willingness to be trained).

Working Conditions

Hands‑on role combining office‑based administrative work with warehouse floor activity.
Use of warehouse equipment and computer systems on a daily basis.
