The Company
Maison Margaux is a fast-growing luxury British homeware brand, offering the rental of unique linens, tableware, cutlery, and glassware for a diverse range of weddings and events from 20 people up to 1000.
Role overview
We are seeking dynamic, diligent, and experienced professional to lead the set-up of our warehouse operations facility in Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in events or catering and demonstrate exceptional leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting operational impact by developing and implementing systems, workflows, and processes that directly support the warehouse activities.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, requiring a proactive mindset and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement by streamlining processes and improving workflow efficiency
- Identify operational weaknesses and implement effective solutions, including recruiting additional staff where necessary
- Recruit, train and manage warehouse team – ensuring adequate manpower and efficiency according to event bookings
- Manage the warehouse operational budget, including labour, equipment, transport, and facility costs
- Take ownership of P&L for the warehouse department
- Supporting the Operations Manager with overseeing day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including staff rotas, stock level management and processing of orders & returns.
- Communicate effectively with Rentals Department and key team members to ensure seamless warehouse operations
- Develop, implement, and update Health & Safety policies and operational.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse management position
· Experience in the Events Industry
· Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of 20+ warehouse staff
· High attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Proficient in administrative tasks such as record keeping, data entry and transport scheduling
· Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to thrive under pressure
· Team player with a strong work ethic.
· Due to the nature of the business this role will include weekends
