Assistant Warehouse Manager

Buckinghamshire

£35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits

Are you a hands-on team leader or supervisor with a knack for logistics and looking for progression into a senior management role? We're working with a fast-paced, growing events supply business looking for a driven and proactive Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their team in Buckinghamshire.

You'll be stepping into a role that's part leadership, part sleeves-rolled-up delivery - perfect for someone who thrives on variety and responsibility and is ready for that next step.

The Opportunity

This isn't a clipboard-and-desk type of job. You'll be leading from the front: helping to oversee warehouse operations, managing stock and logistics, and getting stuck in with the team on deliveries, installations, and client setups. You'll also play a key role in shaping the operation as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

* Helping to lead, training and motivating a warehouse and distribution team. * Planning and optimising logistics and delivery schedules. * Overseeing inventory levels and ensuring high warehouse standards. * Getting hands-on with event kit: from picking to loading to client delivery. * Acting as an on-site representative with clients and ensuring service excellence. * Ensuring compliance with health & safety protocols. * Monitoring performance metrics and suggesting improvements. * Liaising with office-based teams to keep everything running smoothly.

What You'll Need

* Experience in warehouse, distribution or event operations. * Supervisory or Team Leader experience with a practical, can-do attitude. * A full UK Driving Licence (essential). * Strong organisation and communication skills. * The ability to prioritise, multitask, and problem-solve under pressure. * Flexibility around working hours, including occasional weekends.

Bonus Points For

* Forklift licence or HGV licence. * Knowledge of warehouse systems or scheduling software.

What's in it for You

* Competitive salary (£35k-£40k depending on experience). * 21 days holiday + bank holidays. * Uniform and on-site parking. * Staff discounts and regular company events. * A chance to grow with a thriving business.
