Our client are a leading building merchants supplying high-quality construction materials to trade and domestic customers. With a strong focus on service, safety, and reliability, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid forklift licence to join our clients growing team. Key Responsibilities: * Safely load and unload deliveries using a forklift * Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for collection and delivery * Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock in accordance with company procedures * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment * Assist with regular stock checks and inventory audits * Work collaboratively with drivers, sales staff, and other warehouse team members * Follow all health and safety protocols, including PPE requirements * Provide excellent customer service when dealing with trade counter queries or helping customers with collections Requirements: * Valid forklift licence (e.g., RTITB; NPORS or ITSSAR accredited) * Previous experience in a warehouse or builders’ merchants environment (preferred) * Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting heavy items * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Good communication and organisational skills Hours of ...
